The week after Diwali shopping begins brings a strong mix of Tamil originals, a big crime drama comeback and a Korean cooking contest. Here are the new films and shows arriving on India's major OTT platforms between 24 and 30 October 2026.

    Tamil and Indian originals

    • Akka (Netflix, 30 Oct): a period gangster series set in the 1980s in a fictional South Indian town where a matriarchal crime network is run by powerful women known as "Akkas". Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte lead the cast, and Dharmaraj Shetty directs. It is one of Netflix India's biggest Tamil originals of the year.
    • Love Always (JioHotstar, 30 Oct): a new Tamil web series released as a Hotstar Special.

    International shows

    • Final Table, Season 1 (Prime Video, 24 Oct): a Korean series built around a global cooking competition in which chefs from around the world compete to be named the top Korean-cuisine chef.
    • Dexter: Resurrection, Season 2 (JioHotstar, 30 Oct): Dexter Morgan is back in New York and finds himself hunted by two new killers, played by Brian Cox and Dan Stevens.

    Still new from last week

    • Nobody Wants This, Season 3 (Netflix): Joanne and Noah try life together under one roof.
    • The Terminal List, Season 2 (Prime Video): Chris Pratt returns as former Navy SEAL James Reece on a new global mission.
    • Gajab Raat (Netflix) and Chaar Yaar (Prime Video): Hindi films that arrived on 23 October.

    Ongoing reality shows

The Bigg Boss seasons in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada continue to stream daily on JioHotstar, with weekend episodes bringing nominations and evictions.

    Our pick of the week

If you watch only one new show, make it Akka. A female-led gangster drama with a strong cast is a rare combination in Indian streaming, and it lands just in time for the long festive weekends ahead.

    Tips for planning your watchlist

    • Check whether your mobile or broadband plan includes a bundled subscription before buying a new one.
    • Many platforms release episodes at midnight or early morning, so plan your weekend binge accordingly.
    • Use the platform's "Remind me" option to get a notification when a title goes live.

Streaming dates are based on platform announcements and reports as of 18 October 2026 and may change.
