    A historic night for Como

It was Como's first competitive match against English opposition. "This is historic, it's the first time we are in the Champions League," Paz said, calling it "one of the most special nights of my life and my career," according to LiveScore. At 22 years and 43 days, Paz became the youngest Argentine with three goal contributions in a Champions League game since Lionel Messi in April 2009, and the youngest player to score twice against United in the competition, breaking Raúl's record, ESPN reported.

Coached by Cesc Fàbregas, Como now have two wins from three league-phase games, having also beaten RB Leipzig at home.

    United in crisis

United are now without a win in seven games in all competitions (three draws, four defeats), their longest run since 2015, according to ESPN. They also became the first English team to concede inside two minutes in consecutive major European games. Michael Carrick won seven, drew two and lost two of his first 11 games in charge, but has won only two of his last 11. United have three points from three games.

Matthijs de Ligt played 79 minutes on his return from injury.
